Happy New Year to all! What an amazing year we had! 2017 was a great year for Heya Masr. We spent 365 days working with 6 classes, each having 12-15 girls or boys led by 3 trainers. We graduated five girl’s classes and one boy’s class. Our team succeeded in impacting many lives, encouraging and supporting many of those young generations.
We have seen many cases of weakness, and students lacked in self-confidence. Mainly, due to abuse in overpopulated areas. Likewise, we have seen students who lacked in and symptoms of malnutrition. Those kids live in harsh communities and harsh environments. Students don’t receive much care at home and as a result, we witnessed lots of anger and bad behavior. In each and every class, the teams worked tremendously on correcting behaviors, building self-esteem, encouraging and supporting them as they learn the importance of healthy eating. We challenged our class participants in forming an alliance and building a healthy relationship that respects each other and the other gender in order to stand against abuse, bullying, and sexual harassments. We taught them the importance of self-discovery and critical thinking and equipped them with emotional intelligence to impact their characters and their perspective on life and the future. We are absolutely amazed at the change in our girls and boys and excited for their bright future.

At the end of 2017, We ask you to make a pledge of support to our mission. By contributing with as little as $100, you are investing in our work by supporting a child for 3 months of training. We are working hard on expanding to reach more boys and girls but we need your help of investment to bring on new trainers and equip them with the right tools to make the change in the lives of our participants.
We currently running five classes in Cairo and Giza and we want to expand even further to more locations and more governate outside of Cairo. Please support us today. Every $ helps. Thank you in advance for your contribution!
In 2017, we respond to the growing need to work with boys. We began a new program specifically targeting the future men of Egypt. It wasn’t an easy task. We had to change our curriculum, train new volunteers, and build a new relationship with local communities.
It was all worth it. In 2017, we graduated a class of 15 boys and started the second class in partnership with Tawasoul and Ruwwad centers. We are encouraged by the success we made to date and committed to continue our work to change the future for kids all over Egypt. Please support us financially today to empower and equip the next generation for a better Egypt.
In late 2017, Heya Masr traveled to Alexandria to take part in an IGMADI event with the partnership with the German embassy.
It was a great opportunity to shed light on the work we do in Cairo and Giza. The team gave an on-stage presentation to all the participants and familiarized the crowd on Heya Masr vision, impact and the work was done in the past four years. We look forward to bring our program to Alexandria in the near future
Thank you Heya Masr team and Thank you to IGMADI for hosting us.
